Vector Graphics and Bitmaps
The two main types of PC graphics are vector graphics and bitmaps. Vector graphics are composed of lines and curves, and generated from mathematical descriptions that determine the position, length and direction in which lines are drawn. Bitmaps, also known as raster images are composed of tiny squares are called pixels, each pixel is assigned to a location on the image and contains color numerical values.
Vector graphics are ideal for logos and illustrations, because they are resolution independent and can be scaled to any size, or printed and displayed at any resolution, without losing detail or quality. In addition, vector graphics can produce sharp and clear contours.
Operations with lines, brush strokes and
In CorelDRAW you can add lines and strokes through various techniques and tools. After drawing lines or brush strokes applied to the lines, you can assign different formats to these elements. You can also format the contours around the objects.
The drawing tools are:
Freehand tool, Bezier Pen, 3-point curve, Media arts, 2-point line.
Drawing shapes
CorelDRAW allows you to draw basic shapes and modify them using special effects tools and shape variations.
• Draw rectangles and squares
• Draw ellipses, circles, arcs and shapes
sector• Draw polygons and stars
•
spiral drawing • Drawing shapespredefined
• Drawing by recognizing
form
Draw rectangles and squares
With CorelDRAW you can draw rectangles and squares. You can draw a rectangle or square dragging diagonally through the rectangle tool , or by specifying the width and height using tool 3-point Rectangle . Tool 3-point Rectangle allows you to draw rectangles biased quickly.
After drawing one, you can change their shape by rounding one or more corners.
